Roller Products
Columbia Rubber Mills has spent more than fifty years developing its superior compounds for all areas of industry. Our world is ever-changing and we know that the needs of our customers change with the times. We also understand that each of you have a unique way of doing your job so no matter how similar one application may seem to another, each one is unique. That’s why we at Columbia Rubber Mills work with you and develop a compound that meets your specific needs.
Our formulas are compounded and mixed using strict mixing procedures to assure greater control over the end product. A sample, taken from every batch, is tested in our laboratory for proper mix and other physical properties prior to approval for use in production.
Each order we receive is entered in our computer system immediately. This allows us to track your rollers throughout the plant, helps us process your order quickly and accurately and guarantees fast answers to any questions you may have about your order.
Our attention to Quality Assurance begins when we receive your roll for cover. We take time to analyze every roll that comes in. This incoming inspection will identify any repair that needs to be made to the core, shafts, or bearing surfaces.
We remove the old rubber, clean and sandblast all surfaces to be rubber covered. This is your guarantee of a contamination-free surface and allows for a superior rubber-to-metal bond – the most durable roller available.
We take the extra time necessary to build every roll by hand with the care and craftsmanship that more than fifty years of experience gives you.
Columbia Rubber Mills has developed compounds that will fight against age, swell, hardening, ink build-up, abrasion, changes in heat and humidity and compression set. Depending on your specific application, we can help you determine the rubber type best able to give you longest wear. Because our more durable rollers maintain their durometer longer and are less affected by swell, they will increase your run time and decrease your down time.
Columbia Rubber Mills specializes in covering all types of rollers with both natural and synthetic rubbers. Our more than fifty years of developing precision roll stock for high speed presses guarantees that you will get exactly the right roller for your application.
